MP3 Playeras far as song capacity..the average MP3 song is about 3-5 MB.1000 MB = 1 GByou can get 20 GB mp3 players and I don't know for sure but they may go as high as 60 GBSO lets say you bought a 20 GB player that 20000 MBlets say that the average size of Each song is 4 MBthats about 5000 songsabout 15 songs per CD???yeah that's about 330 CDs...so yeah it would seem possible

as far as hooking it up to a stereo receiver? well its all about inputs and outputs...if the mp3 player has a headphone plug that's an "output". sound is coming out of that hole so it can go IN to your headphones. and inputs on your receiver like Video-IN, CD-IN etc. that's were the sound is supposed to go IN so in can go to the speaker wires and OUT the speakers. just run a cable from and OUT put hole on the MP3 player to the INPUT hole or holes on the receiver. its like using your headphones as a Mic. seriously plug your headphones into your MIC hole on your computer and try and record yourself talking into them. ive done it. no lie!!!! It works because its all based in the INPUTS and OUTPUTS
