What part do crocodiles play in the food chain?

Crocodiles are at the top of the food chain. They have few natural enemies, although Birds of Prey and monitor lizards, even bigger crocs eat the young. Adults are sometimes killed by big cats, and there exists video of a tiger killing a large mugger croc in India. Humans also kill many crocodiles.
