Where was the first T Rex fossil found?

Dinosaur fossils would have been found earlier in history but not yet identified. British geologists were the first to discover and classify dinosaurs.

In 1824 Megalosaurus was scientifically described and named. Iguanodon fossils had been found in 1822, but they were formally documented after Megalosaurus.
