Panther babies, or panther cubs, are typically born weighing about 1 to 2 pounds (0.45 to 0.91 kg). They are born blind and rely on their mother for warmth and nourishment. At birth, they are also covered in spots, which help them camouflage in their environment as they grow. Cubs usually stay with their mother for about 1.5 to 2 years before becoming independent.
