Explain how age can be a communication barrier?

Terminology between children, adolescence and adult varies quite a lot. Age could be seen as a barrier because things 2 teengaers would say to one another wouldnt be easy to understand in the view of an adult or a child; Mostly due to 'slang'. Also its the same with adults as 2 adults could talk about real life scenariOS and things that happen and children and teenagers would be very confused.
