How are your needs today different from and similar to people who lived hundreds of years ago?

Today, my needs are shaped by modern technology, access to information, and social connectivity, which differ significantly from those of people who lived hundreds of years ago, whose needs were primarily focused on survival, community, and basic resources. However, both then and now, fundamental human needs such as the desire for security, companionship, and purpose remain consistent. While the means of fulfilling these needs have evolved, the underlying motivations and emotional connections remain strikingly similar.
