the chemical in Coricidin Cough and Cold which makes you trip or hallucinate is called dextromethorphan and is probably not harmful by itself until you reach extremely high doses, or when used on a repeating basis, but you should take note that the trip you expiriance from a mild doseage of DXM (say, one box of coricidin [240mg's DXM] or less) is quite different from higher doses (two or more boxes). When most people consume lower doses it is a mild to moderate trip, and in higher doses it is completely out of this world. high dose trips are only for very expirianced users. if you don't know what to expect, chances are you wont like it because it can be very scary when you find you have slipped out of your normal universal dimensions and your heading for non-existence.
