Use evoke in a sentence

The Word invoke means to call upon (as with religious deities) or to call into effect (as in laws). An invocationis an opening prayer.

Examples : "The shaman would invoke the name of the legendary warrior spirit."

Example : "To prosecute the criminals, the district attorney had to invoke the existing gambling law."

Example : "The defendant decided to invoke his right to remain silent."
