What can be done to prevent bathroom accidents?

There are a number of things to do to prevent accidents in the bathroom.

1. Keep the floor dry.

2. Make sure any rugs do not slip.

3. Keep a tub mat in the bathtub.

4. Make sure bathroom fixtures are secure and working properly.

5. Make sure all bathroom outlets are GFC outlets to help prevent shock.

6. Do not bathe with appliances near the tub.

7. Supervise young children to prevent drowning -- it only takes 2-3 minutes to drown.

8. Install safety devices, particularly if any handicapped or elderly person lives or works there.
