Colt SAA serial numbers by year?

There are quite a few books on Colt that have serial number data in them. Blue Book of Gun Values, Colt Book of Firearms, etc. R.L. Wilson has published a pocket guide as have several others. Your local library can also assist you. Old gun catalogs and magazines are another source of data.
