How old do puppies hae to be to open the eyes?

With experience, I say about three weeks. If you'll notice when a puppy opens it's eyes, they have a clear blue coloring to them. I freaked and called my vet who informed me that a week after their eyes open is when they have to develop so that they aren't blinded by harsh light right when they open.
