How do you fix a jammed seat belt on a Kia Sedona?

I have yet to read a good solution to this seemingly frequent problem with the back seat seat belt on many KIAs.

We have a 2007 Kia Rondo and the backseat middle seat belt has gotten stuck several times already. The first time we took it to the dealer, this time we (my wife and I) took it apart ourselves. My wife is very mechanically inclined and she was able to take the right side panel off the retractor

(the locking mechanism) first. Then you can see the small black release lever inside (you might have to search a little until you find it). Once you push back the release lever (be careful because it is small and plastic and

easily broken) the belt will disengage and you can pull it freely. In our situation, once I put everything back together, the seat belt was working properly again. I left the side panel off the retractor

just in case we have to do this again in the future.
