Before creating Cartoons, Walt Disney worked as a commercial artist and illustrator. He served in the Red Cross during World War I, where he drove an ambulance in France. After the war, he returned to the U.S. and started his own advertising studio, which eventually led him to explore animation. His early ventures included creating short films and a series called "Laugh-O-Grams," which laid the groundwork for his future success in animation.
