Florence Nightingale lived most of her life in England, particularly in the city of London. Born in Florence, Italy, in 1820, she returned to England as a child and spent significant time at her family estate in Hampshire. Nightingale is best known for her work during the Crimean War, after which she continued her nursing reform efforts primarily from her home in London until her death in 1910.
