How does an animal reproduce by budding?

Budding is a form of asexual reproduction where an organism develops a new individual from a small outgrowth, or bud, on its body. This bud grows and matures while remaining attached to the parent until it is fully formed. Once developed, the bud can detach and live independently, effectively creating a genetically identical clone of the parent organism. This method is commonly seen in certain invertebrates, such as hydras and some types of corals.
