"Crix belly" is the condition nicknamed after an HIV protease inhibitor drug where fat begins to accumulate irregularly -- the arms and legs waste, the belly gets bigger (looking like late pregnancy in some), and a lump of fat may appear behind the neck. Symptoms vary. This has been around for at least a decade. There are a lot more alternatives to these drugs now.
