Why do giraffis have long legs?

then they can reatch leaves and they can kick enimys
So they can reach high branches and so they can kick enemies.
Giraffes have long legs to be able to reach leaves in tall trees. and when there is a baby that cant reach they sometimes give the leaves to the child or give him a smaller bush/tree to eat from.
because they have to be able to reach the top of a tree to get the leaves
