Do Shiba inu's like to swim?

In general, they do not want to be wet. Do not expect this breed to go in the water beyond wading. My shiba will wade, but doesn't want her face or head to get wet. She is also afraid to be out over water, like on a dock. She also does not like waves. I think it more the noise than anything else.
