What is the champagne of tea?

The champagne of tea is the nickname for Darjeeling tea.

It is one of the most highly sought teas on the planet. It can only be grown in one unique place on the entire planet, which is the Darjeeling District in Bengal, India.
Attempts have been made to try and grow the tea elsewhere but it is impossible to do so because of the different soils and climate. So all of the genuine Darjeeling tea in the world comes from this little region.

It has a very distinctive taste and aroma. Because of the fact that it can only be grown in such a small area of the world, it is usually a lot pricier than other kinds of teas and is drunk as a relaxing treat rather than a thirst-quencher.
