Due to restrictions of software, you will have to imagine the shape of the pyramid, but for Lewis Carroll's book, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, a Freytag pyramid might go like this:
- Exposition - the opening of the story, when Alice sees and follows the rabbit, ending with the inciting moment being the moment the ground gives way in the rabbit hole
- Rising action - the action of the story as Alice tries to find the rabbit, gain access to the 'lovely garden' and generally just 'get somewhere'
- Climax - the trial, where Alice starts to resume her normal size culminating with the cards attacking her, and her brushing them away - Particularly the moment when she proclaims, "you're nothing but a pack of cards!"
- Falling action - Alice wakes up, back with her sister, with exciting tales of her adventures in Wonderland
- Denouement - Alice's sister thinks about Alice and her adventures
