My Basenji recently came down with a fungus on her ears. I paid a fortune for a cream from the vet (a tiny tube). I wanted to slap myself in the forhead because I'm usually very good about coming up with over the counter remedies. This was an easy one too. You need to use a product called: Miconazole 2% You can find it in the femine "itch" section for vaginal yeast infections or there's products for athlete's feet with miconazole 2%. There are also generic creams just called Miconazole 2%. 1 oz. is about $ 3.00 for generic. I paid $ 20 for .5 oz from the vet. See why I want to slap myself silly? Hope this helps. Make sure you get the cream....no aerosols, sprays, inserts, etc. Solaris Dobermans & Basenjis
