Why doesn't Jason kill kids?

Jason Voorhees, a fictional character in the "Friday the 13th" series, typically targets teenagers and adults as his victims because they are the ones who engage in the types of activities that lead them to his territory (like Camp Crystal Lake). Killing children is often considered taboo in Horror movies and may create too disturbing and uncomfortable of a storyline for audiences.
