Technically the above is not "earning" money, it is "getting" money. To earn money without working is impossible. Some work of some kind must be done for it to be "earned", even if the "earning" is the time and effort of selling some good or service in your possession.

That is to say, having a garage sale or selling sexual favors counts as "earning", begging for money does not.
