Why did the rana plaza building collapse?

The Rana Plaza building collapsed on April 24, 2013, primarily due to structural failures caused by the illegal addition of several floors and poor construction practices. The building was not designed to support the heavy machinery and equipment used by the garment factories housed within. Additionally, warnings about visible cracks in the structure were ignored, leading to a catastrophic failure that resulted in over 1,100 fatalities and thousands of injuries.
