Why is Biblical history the key to understanding dinosaurs?

It isn't, the Creation Museum is just stupid. They also think that the creation in Genesis took literally seven days even though the original writing refers to seven long and indistinct periods of time, not seven 24-hour days.

They think the universe is only a few thousand years old and they refuse to accept any sort of science that disagrees with them.
