In Chronicles of Ancient darkness why doesn't Renn fletch her arrows with eagle owl feathers?

Eagle owls are rare and hunters, it is against clan law to kill a hunter and because they are rare you won't just find feathers laying around or a dead one to take the feathers from. She also wouldn't want to because the only eagle owl belongs to Eostra the Eagle Owl Mage/Soul Eater.
