Why do people Adorn themselves?

The fundamental reason is the attract a mate.. Although most people will deny this cause they are not aware that this is the reason they do it. It all about looking good. And what do you look good for? for other people esp. the opposite sex.

Same reason peacocks have pretty feathers.

Another reason people adorn themselves has to do with self esteem. When you take the time, energy and pride to adorn your body with items that enhance your personality or attract other people to you, your self esteem gets a big boost. With increased self esteem, a person is more likely to adorn themselves in the future as well.
