Can you unfreeze your water pump in your car when it freezes up?

If it froze up from lack of antifreeze protection, you can have the vehicle towed to a heated garage and wait, then hope and pray no serious damage was done from freezing.

If the pump froze up from a bad bearing in the pump, replacing the pump is required.
