How do you put on cologne on sims 2 pets?

You must first go to a community lot in the Sims and purchase some cologne from one of the display cases. The cologne will be in your Sims inventory then. So, click on the little backpack icon in the lower right hand side of the screen and find the cologne you just bought. Click on it and set it down on a table or on the ground. Then click on the cologne and Use it. You can also go back to your backpack and click on the cologne to put it back in your inventory if you need to carry it around with you.
