Improved Answer:

The sex of a child is determined solely by the male sperm cell. Each sperm cell carries within it either a X or Y chromosome (which will eventually define the sex of the offspring).

"Y" sperm will direct a male fetus while "X" will turn into a female.

Typically "Y" (boy) sperm cells swim faster but parish sooner than "X" (girl) sperm who may survive for up to one week in the woman's body waiting for her egg to drop.

No man (or woman) is able to ONLY produce one sex of offspring.

Like most things in life, there are no absolutes and timing is everything.

Previous Answer:

no. women have two x chromosomes and men have an x and a y. when the two cells combine to make a baby, it starts with one x from the mother, and either an x or a y from the father. however, the x or y from the father is completely random.
