If your refrigerator is not working and you have an ice maker will shutting th ice maker off stop the water flow?

I don't think so; generally there is a line that runs from the water source (sink or what have you) that should have a shut off valve located somewhere along the line. You should be able to see where the line connects at the back of your refrigerator and hopefully track it back to the source. It's frequently under the kitchen sink. Hope this helps!
