Yes they do. Baby cockatiels will have a molt when they are 6-9 months of age and during this time they will lose their baby feathers gradually. Generally around this age your cockatiel may be able to be visibly sexed depending upon what mutation you have. Please visit cockatiel cottage for more information which you can find via google. During a molt your birds will require extra fruits, vitamins, calcium and minerals as molting is hard work. Hope this helped. :)
