Where is the reverse light switch in a Peugeot 307?

"Where is the reverse light switch in a Peugeot307?" The reverse light switch is located on the transmission housing which is behind/under the air filter housing/battery on the 2.0 litre D turbo model. To replace it you will need to remove the top of the air filter housing and the filter (2 screws plus release the air intake pipe connected to it by a large jubillee clip, also unclip a couple of cables). To remove the switch disconnect the cable clipped to it. You will need a deep 22mm socket and a universal/flexible coupling to unscrew the switch (as access is poor unless you remove the battery compartment/air filter housing).
