Why your vocabulary is poor?

Most times a poor vocabulary is a result of not being exposed to Words. Increased vocabulary is not really a talent--you can obtain it by reading a lot of varied materials, doing crossWords and so on. If you hear or see a Word you don't know, look it up and try to make a sentence with it.
