Henry Cavill is the most recent actor, as of 2016, to play Superman on the big screen. He donned the red cape in the Batman vs Superman [2016] & Justice League movies [2017 & 2019].

It should be noted that on the small screen, Tyler Hoechlin, was cast to play Clark Kent/Superman in the Supergirl TV series in 2016 for Season Two
