When does Cyrano De Bergerac have a conflict with himself?

Throughout, Cyrano wants to express his love for his cousin, but his perceived ugliness prevents him from expressing it to Roxanne. When he is telling Christian what to say, he is really telling Roxanne what he feels for her.
