Should you change your oil if you put transmission fluid in your engine oil?

While some people might panic and start screaming OH MY GOD!!! I would say run the engine for a few minutes and let the transmission fluid help clean and lubricate everything, then change the oil. Transmission Fluid is obviously not a good replacement for engine oil, but some of the additives in it can help to clean out an engine without destroying components, or seals. So dont panic, dont put it in there often, but you should still change it before taking it on any trips. :)

PS. I have used transmission fluid to salvage engines that were once thought dead
