The first few guns were produced from November 1941 to April 1942, mass production of M1 carbines started in May 1942 and stopped in October and November 1945, the number of guns produced there were 2,394,510, GM was the largest producer of M1 Carbines in WWII, and the guns produced by GM say Inland Div. on them since GM's full name used to be Inland Division of General Motors.
