Why is Barack Obama a revolutionary person?

First, the Word "revolutionary" can mean someone who believes in revolution (like overthrowing the government)-- there is no evidence that Barack Obama wants to overthrow the government. But the Word can also mean someone who is unique or unusual or transformational. Some people believe Barack Obama fits these qualities because he was the first African-American president and because he made a number of changes in policy that affected gay people, women, and ethnic minorities. It should be noted, however, that not everyone agrees with this description, and in fact, his opponents would say he is "radical" because of the changes he has tried to make.
