The most popular route, the Camino Francés, begins in the French town of Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port and spans approximately 800 kilometers across northern Spain. Other routes also exist, including the Camino Portugués from Portugal and the Camino del Norte along the northern coast of Spain.
