How long does it take for baby stick insects to grow into an adult?

2-4 years as the larvae. It takes roughly 2 months for it to prepare for cocooning. They undergo a complete metamorphosis meaning the change completely into their adult form. After molting to adult, they are able to mate shortly afterwards (week or 2 depending on species)
