You also get to analyze things in a certain way. We all go to the gas station and sometimes shake our heads at the price of gas, right? Having a good understanding of the world political climate and-equally importantly-how those things got that way helps you connect the dots and answer "Why?" Studying world history is just like traveling overseas; it helps you realize the world is bigger than your little corner of it. It connects you to other people.
