How does Elya become cursed?

Elya becomes cursed after he breaks a promise to a powerful witch named Baba Yaga. Initially seeking her help to win the heart of a woman named the "most beautiful girl in the world," Elya fails to follow through on his commitment to bring her a rare flower.
