Can a rim with a bolt pattern 5x115mm be modified to fix a 5x110mm bolt pattern?

No. The rim can NOT be modified. There are adapters, but highly not recommended beacuse the adapter moves the wheel farther away from the hub, and the load carrying is not where it should be and will destroy wheel bearings
