When we spray perfume, the fragrance molecules disperse into the air and mix with the surrounding atmosphere. Due to their small size and volatility, these molecules travel easily and can be carried by air currents over distances. Additionally, the concentration of the scent diminishes as it spreads, but it remains detectable to our olfactory senses even at lower concentrations. This diffusion process allows the scent to be perceived from afar.
