Why doesn't my aloe vera have any sprouts?

Keep a potted aloe vera in a well-draining soil mixture, in a container that has good drainage also. Allow the top of the soil to dry out between watering. Keep the plant in a sunny window, and be patient. The sprouts, or off-sets, will come.

Only fertilize once a year, with a solution of houseplant fertilizer at one-quarter the product recommended strength - usually at the end of winter, when the sunlight begins to get stronger in your area.
