Why is Brian P Cleary important?

That's an interesting question. To those of us who teach, he is important because of his ability as an author to take complex concepts and make them clear and fun to learn for children, and even adults. He has almost re-invented a whole category of children's book. I'm sure he is important to other people for different reasons.
