How much friendship do you have to give to Togepi to evolve?

Togepi needs >220 happiness in order to evolve into Togetic.

Massages, grooming, gaining levels, walking 256 steps, vitamins (except when ineffective), EV berries and using healing items (no herbs) will cause happiness to increase.

Fainting, using herbs, and depositing into the PC in Generation I will cause happiness to decrease. Trading resets happiness to zero. Luxury Balls and Soothe Bells will add a 1 happiness boost for every happiness increase.
