How do you light a sky lantern?

To light a sky lantern, first ensure you are in a safe area away from flammable materials and check local regulations regarding their use. Carefully unfold the lantern and attach the fuel cell (usually made of wax or a gel) to the base. Light the fuel cell, allowing the lantern to fill with hot air; it will start to rise once the air inside is sufficiently warmed. Once it’s fully inflated and stable, gently release the lantern into the sky.
