If you are a habitual user and have large amounts of the drug in your system (Valium has a long half-life meaning it stays in your system for up to 72 hours) and you stop suddenly you may have seizures etc; which can kill you if you are alone and unsupervised. It is not recommended to detox from Diazepam if you are alone.
